Schwartz Semerdjian is an AV rated law firm formed in 1998. All of the lawyers are experienced litigators except for three who focus on business and real estate transactional matters as well as estate planning. The litigators of Schwartz Semerdjian have extensive trial experience, including jury and court trials in both state and federal courts, mediations, judicial and non-judicial arbitrations, and trials in other jurisdictions in the United States.
The firm is built on the strong academic background of its lawyers. Law schools represented by lawyers in the firm range from the University of San Diego to other schools in California, such as University of the Pacificand University of Santa Clara, to Notre Dame and Rutgers.Schwartz Semerdjian lawyers have attended prestigious universities, including Harvard, UCLA, UCSD, and USC.
The firm and its lawyers frequently contribute their time to professional organizations, participate in continuing education activities and support community organizations. For example, one partner is the Chair of the American Bar Association Commission on the American Jury Project and the past Chair of the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section of the ABA. Another serves as counsel to the San Diego Chapter of Associated Subcontractors Alliance. Others have served on the Board of Directors and on committees for the American Bar Association, Barristers Club of San Diego, Lawyers Club of San Diego, and the San Diego County Bar Association.
